This resort is the first Somatheeram, having been created in 1990.

In 2006 the two brothers Polly and Baby Mathew decided to share the property, one now calling itself Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort, the other Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort (Manaltheeram will be opened later to the north of the property).

The family know-how therefore continues under two very similar banners with agreed prices.

The quality of care and service are among the benchmark values ​​in Ayurveda, but the German-run Somatheeram Ayurvedic, which has only 66 rooms, is significantly less "industrial" than its sister Somatheeram Ayurveda.

Indeed, Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort is the first resort to combine three activities: beach, Ayurveda, and Yoga.
